OUR ACTIVITIES & EDUCATIONAL AIMS
Activities are planned and resources are provided to correspond with “The Early Years Foundation Stage” (EYFS).
The EYFS is issued by the Department for Education and sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (also used by school nurseries) covers:

Expressive Arts and Design
There are opportunities throughout the day for children of all ages to meet together and learn from each other. This is particularly designed to create a family environment and allow siblings to have contact with each other.
Communication between children and staff is encouraged and visitors from different walks of life will be introduced to the children.
Located in a rural setting, we aim to take advantage of the surrounding countryside by regularly taking the children on walks and actively encouraging them to understand and appreciate the environment.
All children aged 3 and 4 years are entitled to 15 FREE hours per week during term time. By agreement, this could spread to include the school holidays.
We maintain online developmental records for each child. These are accessible for parents/carers to view, via a password protected login, and have input into and are used to plan appropriate activities.
Where you (and any partner) earn at least £140 per week, your 3-4 year old child could be eligible for up to 30 FREE hours. This, by agreement, could also be spread to include the school holidays. To check your eligibility, go to www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Some children aged 2 years are entitled to 15 FREE hours per week during term time. By agreement, this could be spread to include the school holidays. They are eligible for this from the term after their second birthday. Eligibility depends upon receipt of some types of benefit.
